Why I’m Starting The B.E.A.T 4ME Blog: Fitness, Self-Care and Life in Your 40s
Life in your 40s is full. You might be a mother, a partner, maybe working, managing a home, and somewhere along the way your body starts changing. Energy dips, sleep feels unpredictable, workouts feel harder, and weight seems harder to manage.

That’s where The B.E.A.T 4ME blog comes in. I started this space to share my personal journey as a mother navigating perimenopause, fitness, nutrition, and the daily challenges of balancing life — while helping other women feel seen, understood, and supported.
The blog began with a simple question I asked myself one morning:
“What am I going to do for me today?”
It didn’t need to be big. Sometimes it was a short workout. Sometimes it was moving to music, preparing a nourishing meal, or taking a moment for myself. That small mindset shift slowly changed everything and eventually became the B.E.A.T 4ME Method (still a work in progress).
Through anecdotal stories of family life and perimenopause, I hope to offer:
- Realistic fitness advice with explanations for why I do what I do
- Nutrition tips that fit into busy schedules
- Educational guidance to help women understand their bodies during perimenopause
My aim is to help women feel less alone on this journey, while being clear that the advice here does not replace guidance from medical professionals or qualified nutritionists.
I’ll also share tools, resources, links to my Patreon, affiliate recommendations, and my own workouts — all designed to make life a little easier, healthier, and more energising.
At its heart, The B.E.A.T 4ME blog is about real life, real challenges, and small daily wins. It’s a place where busy mums and women in their 40s can feel understood, empowered, and inspired to ask themselves:
“What will I do for me today?”
And maybe that can become your B.E.A.T 4ME moment too. 💛
